The film contains excerpts from speeches given by various Nazi leaders at the Congress, including portions of speeches by Adolf Hitler, interspersed with footage of massed party members. Hitler commissioned the film and served as an unofficial executive producer; his name appears in the opening titles. The overriding theme of the film is the...

Honeymooning in Hungary, Joan and Peter Allison share their train compartment with Dr. Vitus Verdegast, a courtly but tragic man who is returning to the remains of the town he defended before becoming a prisoner of war for fifteen years. When their hotel-bound bus crashes in a mountain storm and Joan is injured, the travellers seek refuge in the home, built fortress-like upon the site of a bloody battlefield, of famed architect Hjalmar Poelzig. There, cat-phobic Verdegast learns his wife's...

The early French classic about life in a boy's school. It is a wonderful example of poetry of film. One must realize that we are seeing the whole thing through the eyes of the boys to get the full impact of the film. The film is directed by Jean Vigo with a marvelous score bu Maurice Joubert

This is the documentary which chronicles the 1934 Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg. It was directed by Leni Riefenstahl who had the full support of the Nazi party and is a brilliant but frightening picture of the power of fascism. While it is available elsewhere on the archive it is there only in FLV format. I have uploaded it in MP4 to make it available to many more viewers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_of_the_Will

The film centers on the life of Tod Lubitch (John Travolta), who was born with an improperly functioning immune system. This means that contact with unfiltered air may kill him, so he must live out his life in incubator conditions. He lives with his parents, since they decided to move him from the hospital where he was being kept as a boy. He is constricted to staying in his room all his life, where he eats, learns, reads and exercises, while being protected from the outside world by various...

Nightfall was the early 80's Canadian radio series that was also syndicated in the United States. A mixture of Horror, Suspense and Science Fiction the series is worth a listen. There is a very low quality set already out there... but I have remastered as many of these as I could, I have fixed many of the audio problems and labeled them correctly (the set already on here is full of mislabeled episodes). Until the CBC releases the masters this is about as good as these will sound and I encourage...

Filmed in November 1903 at Edison's New York studio, at Essex County Park in New Jersey, and along the Lackawanna railroad and released in December 1903, "The Great Train Robbery" is considered to be one of the first significant early US narrative films. Greatly influenced by the British film "Daring Daylight Robbery" (1903) it introduced many new cinematic techniques (cross cutting, double exposure, camera movement and location shooting) to American audiences. It was...

From IMDb : "Can your heart stand the shocking facts about grave robbers from outer space?" That's the question on the lips of the narrator of this tale about flying saucers, zombies and cardboard tombstones. A pair of aliens, angered by the "stupid minds" of planet Earth, set up shop in a California cemetery. Their plan: to animate an army of the dead to march on the capitals of the world. (The fact that they have only managed to resurrect three zombies to date has not...

Kevin, feeling very sad and lonely after spending his first day in a new junior high school meets a young girl on his bus ride home who drops a pencil and suddenly disappears. Is this mysterious young girl a ghost of a girl who died on a bus years before? Why is she so adamant that Kevin learn bus safety rules? Like many films from the late 1970s and early 1980s, this film uses supernatural elements to keep kids' attention. To license this film and get a higher quality version for...
